NEW DELHI: After a long delay, Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi started rolling out Android 10 update for its Mi A3 smartphone. However, instead of the good news, the update turned out to be bad news for the Mi A3 users.
The Xiaomi Mi A3 users who updated the smartphone to Android 10 are facing multiple issues with their smartphones. The users took to Twitter to reveal the issues they are facing with the device. Users are primarily facing four major issues with the smartphone after the update. They are:
* Fingerprint reader not working properly
* Phone boot looping randomly after calls
* Corrupted SD card or MicroSD bugs
* Camera app crashing in Pro Mode
A Twitter user named Shubham tweeted about the problem he is facing with his smartphone after the update. He tweeted, “#mia3 #MiA3Update @XiaomiIndia @MiIndiaSupport There are lot of bugs in the new android 10 update. Fingerprint sensor not visible on the lock screen. Lags when u open settings. I regret buying this phone. Should have gone for another option. #Socalledandroidone”
Another user tweeted, “Aft a long time A3 users got Android 10 but this is full of bugs, I was excited to update it but now I think I shldn’t. Aft the update I faced issues. Battery drain fast and heat too much, Automatically restart the mobile, Start hanging and many more.”
Now a fresh online report states that the company has stopped the update for now.
To recall, the Xiaomi Mi A3 was launched last year and the smartphone got a price cut in January this year. After the price drop, the base variant that offers 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage is now available at Rs 11,999, while the 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage option is selling at Rs 14,999.
The Xiaomi Mi A3 offers a 6.08-inch HD+ screen of 1560x720p resolution with 19.5:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor. Being part of Google’s Android One initiative, Xiaomi Mi A3 runs on stock Android 9.0 Pie operating system out-of-the-box.
